Latitude59 networking conference, which took place as part of Estonian ICT Week last Thursday and Friday, brought together innovators and entrepreneurs from all Baltic and Nordic countries and some special guests from different parts of Europe, the US and Asia.
Over 1,000 international entrepreneurs, tech students, venture capitalists and business angels participated, to gather inspiration and exchange contacts.
Latitude59, which celebrated its eighth year, featured guest speakers from around the world, including Kristo Käärmann, the CEO of TransferWise, Robin Wauters, the Founding Editor of Tech.EU, Ken Singer from the Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology at UC Berkeley, and many others. There was also a pitch competition where 10 startups from Estonia, Russia, the US, Finland and Lithuania competed.
The annual Estonian ICT Week brings opinion leaders, entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, foreign top officials and representatives of international organizations to Tallinn and combines several conferences and special events. The main topics in 2015 included e-governance and e-residency, green IT, smart industry, fintech (financial technology) and hardware evolution.
