digital nomad visa

  • live in Estonia, keep your job elsewhere

enter the digital nomad wonderland

Estonia is built for a slower kind of focus.
Work fits into life here, not the other way around. Whether you spend your day in Tallinn’s busy startup scene, hiking through bogs and forests, or connecting with the fellow digital nomads, life feels balanced. Close your laptop and nature is already there. Have lunch by the sea, spend the evening in a sauna and if you are lucky, catch the Northern Lights. Estonia gives you room to work, and space to come back to yourself.

how this actually works

  • Start by checking the eligibility requirements
  • Then comes the admin part.
  • Complete the application form online. Print it and sign it (some traditions live on even in the world’s most digital country). Choose the Type D (long-stay) visa when applying. The state fee is €120.

the fine print (worth reading)

The Digital Nomad Visa follows the same review process as other visas. Each application is assessed individually, and meeting the eligibility criteria does not guarantee approval.

At the moment, Digital Nomad Visa applications cannot be submitted in certain locations, including Russia and Belarus. For the most up-to-date & location-specific information, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is the best source.
