Estonian companies are welcome to join a unique recruitment event on November 20th.

There are tens of companies from all over Europe participating in this digital jobs fair to try to lure skilled workers to fill their digital vacancies.

Companies are looking to tap into Spain’s rich digital talent base at a time when young, well trained Spaniards are struggling to find jobs locally. Spanish companies will participate in the event too, giving job seekers the opportunity to find jobs in their home country.

Spain suffers from one of the highest levels of youth unemployment in Europe. Job seekers fresh out of higher education can’t find work close to home, even when they have the digital skills that are in short supply right across Europe.

The European Digital Jobs Fair will offer students, people already in the ICT industry, as well as ICT-literate unemployed people from Spain the opportunity to set up interviews and access training programmes. In Estonia there is a deficit of trained people to fill positions that require specific digital skills.

In September Work in Estonia in cooperation with Eesti Töötukassa/EURES organized its own online job day with tens of job offers for IT professionals and engineers. The job day was successful with many matches made between employers and perspective employees.
