Work in Estonia will initiate a 6-week pilot programme in January 2019 to support international spouses in Estonia in re-inventing themselves professionally. NB! Registration to this program is only available to spouses already residing in Estonia.

Moving to a new country together with your partner can be quite challenging. Often as the accompanying spouse, you have to leave behind your career – thus setting your goals and path in a new environment can be rather complicated.

Questions like “Can I even work here without knowing the language?”, “What are my options for working?”, “Where to find professional contacts?” or “How to set up a company or find volunteering opportunities?” are common. And without having a network of people around you, it is hard to answer them.

Thus, the ‘Re-invent yourself’ programme aims at making this transition a lot easier, through the following:

  • Networking meetings with local professionals, HR managers and recruiters to understand the labor market in Estonia and to create individual business contacts.
  • Training sessions for adjusting in Estonia, inventing your career in a new environment, learning about business networking or setting up your own company.
  • Individual career and networking consultations from Töötukassa (Public Employment Service) consultants and programme managers to each participant to help you plan your career and establish business contacts and open doors to target companies based on your interests and field of activities.

The programme will take place at the International House of Tallinn and is organized in cooperation with Talent Mobility Management and MoveMyTalent. Events will be held in English and the program is free of charge. The programme will take place between 10.00-13.00 on six Wednesdays between 30.01-06.03. Additionally individual career consultation sessions will be held on either 04.02 or 08.02. Participants are expected to attend all sessions.

The pilot programme group will comprise of 15 participants and registration will be done based on the order of submitting the registration form. Also an introductory interview will be held with each participant prior to 30.01 to map your exact expectations and motivation. In case the 15 positions are already full by the time you fill the registration form, we will keep your contacts and inform you of the next upcoming similar programmes.

Registration is now closed! Thank you all for your registrations! Unfortunately, the places are full for this pilot programme, but feel free to leave your information below and we’ll inform you of future similar programmes.
